Saint Gervais

Saint Gervais is 19th century spa village and is well connected with neighbouring resorts of Megève, St Nicolas, Les Contamines and Combloux. These resorts all form part of the ski area ‘Evasion Mont Blanc’, which has over 450km of skiable terrain linked with an extensive lift system.
Saint Gervais is a relatively quiet ski resort, with its original fame coming from its thermal spas ‘Les Thermes du Mont Blanc’ attracting year round visitors with its healing mineral waters.
Saint Gervais is also home to the highest train in France, The Mont Blanc Tramway. This old rack and pinion train takes passengers up to at an altitude of 2,372 to the Nid d'Aigle and across to Les Houches Prarion area, where the views out to Mont Blanc are un-missable. Les Houches is not included in the lift pass but visitors can purchase day passes there or take the tramway back down to Saint Gervais.
The ski area has undergone a large refurbishment plan including multi ski-lift upgrades to make the systems quicker and easier to use. With ski areas up to 2,353m the snow record is excellent. Although some areas in St Gervias domain are lower than its other resorts, many of the pistes are north facing so the snow coverage is often just as good.

Saint Gervais still remains an unspoilt well-kept secret amongst some the giants in the ski world and offers good value accommodation versus some if its similar glitzy competitors of Megève or Courchevel.
